JAMES
A. WEAVER
August 24, 1942 - August 22, 2002 A native of Waterloo, New York, James A. Weaver, Sr. enlisted in the U.S. Navy on July 14th, 1960. Following his tour aboard USS Ranger CVA-61 and honorable discharge from the Navy on August 23rd, 1963, he pursued a career in carpentry. Applying this developed talent, Jim went to work for a small home improvement business and was employed there until his untimely death in August of 2002. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping and hunting. Jim was a life member of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, and proudly carried the flag of our nation in the Legion Rangers and VFW Guardsmen color guards. He leaves behind his wife Emily, of 38 years, his daughters Lori and Rebecca, and his son James Jr. who is a Chief Petty Officer on active duty in the United States Navy. |
