Bob Van Iderstine just prior to retirement on 01 September 2003
| I was on the RANGER from 1979 to 1981.
I made Chief Petty Officer and was picked up for LDO (Admin). Was on board for the collision. RADM Box commissioned me at AIRPAC. I just saw him again during my final tour on USS CONSTELLATION. I was able to arrange a tour for him and his relatives. I am now teaching 8th grade Science and Social Studies, as well as English, in Leesberg Florida. Best to all my shipmates. |
