USS RANGER READY FOR FULL SEADUTY
This is a shot from the floor of the dry-dock (note the men
walking at right to get some idea of the scale) which
sweeps up Ranger's hull, and shows the new bow in
place and complete. Note the water coming out of the
vents on the side of the ship. While in dry-dock all ship
functions were continued (no housing ashore, no office
work ashore, everyone that COULD work DID work in
dry-dock) . . . that proved to be an easy task for
at least half of the crew, who were Bremerton Overhaul
veterans aboard RANGER in the 76-78 timeframe.
