Dick Praeger

I served on Ranger in 1966-67 as the Executive Officer of the Marine Detachment. I joined the ship via helicopter in April 1966 from USS Sacramento (AOE-1) in the Gulf of Tonkin, and departed while she was in the yards at Bremerton in June 1967. I went straight back in country to Vietnam after I left Ranger. Finally came out of there in one piece in August 1968. I Retired from the Corps in 1983.
