Searching for Raymond Thompson. At the end of our training,
I went to Norfolk (YUCK) on the USS America and he was attached
to the Ranger. He would have gotten to the Ranger in early 1981
and been on board through 1983/84 in the Ranger's ASW Module in CIC.
He was also an AW. At the time Ray and his family lived in San Diego
and his old man was a CPO himself.
To the best of my recollection, Ray's family hailed from Michigan.
