The S-3 Viking, one of the Navy's newest carrier-based ASW planes, is a four-seat twin engine jet.    The A-7 CorsairII, a single seat, single engine carrier. It can fly strike missions up to 700 miles inland from an off shore carrier.    The EA6-B Prowler, a four seat, twin jet aircraft, is used for tactical support missions.    The E-2 Hawkeye is equipped with an Airborne Tactical Data System, that can provide detection and analysis of airborne threats at extreme range.   

The A-6 Intruder, a two seat carrier attack plane, can carry a payload of up to nine tons & can see targets in any weather conditions.    USS RANGER    Ship's C-1A is dubbed the "COD" For carrier onboard delivery of goods and personnel    SH-3H SeaKing from HS-2 provides anti-submarine and search and rescue capabilities.
