RADM, William H."Tag" Livingston, USN

R.Adm. (Ret) William H. "Tag" Livingston.  The Admiral passed away on March 10, 2004 at his home.  Capt William H. Livingston Commanded USS Ranger CVA-61 from 27 March 1968 - 28 June 1969.  This website was informed of his passing by his Niece who sent this statement:

"Tag was a unique and special person to all who
knew him. His loyalty and devotion to his family
and his country was unwavering. There is too little
space here to extoll the many accomplishments
of his Naval career - that would take an entire web
page. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
I am proud to have known him."      Julie Howell

While Commanding Ranger then Capt. Livingston brought forth
the Lone Ranger.  A link to that story is on our Home Page.

RAdm. William H. “Tag” Livingston was laid to rest with full
military honors June 21, 2004, at Arlington National Cemetery.
His final resting place is in section 60 of the cemetery
